Tom Crompton is a poet from Lancashire, completing his PhD at the University of Warwick under the supervision of Dr. Jonathan Skinner. He also co-runs the Poet’s Hardship Fund UK and co-edits the associated small magazine Ludd Gang.
Project statement:
The Poetics of the Deindustrialising Landscape explores how poets of the Global North employ collage aesthetics to write deindustrialisation, not simply as decline or disappearance, but as a recompositional process, restructuring socioecological life and space.
