DePOT’s annual conference connects scholars and students studying deindustrialization across the project’s region of study and beyond. The conference themes follow DePOT’s research initiatives and the locations change every year to reflect DePOT’s area of study and breadth of partners.

The conference is preceded by the DePOT Summer Institute and Project Assembly, for affiliates of the project.

Next conference: Industrial Heritage and/in Deindustrialization

More information coming soon. If you have any questions about DePOT’s conferences, please email deindustrialization@concordia.ca

We are very pleased to announce that next year’s conference will take place June 17–18 in Milan, followed by tours on the 19. As usual, the main conference will be preceded by the Summer Institute between the 14 and 15 June. Organized by Gilda Zazzara and Roberta Garruccio, the week will focus on initiatives related to workers’ expression and the legacy of deindustrialization.
