Founded in 1973, Fondazione ISEC started as an archive to collect and preserve the history of the Italian Resistance movement and the labour movement. It has since developed into a national point of reference for archives on the political, economic, and social history of contemporary Italy. Its archives also include records from large Italian manufacturers, political parties, trade unions and industrial associations. The Fondazione ISEC is involved in a number of activities aimed at promoting awareness of its archival holdings through the promotion of public history projects, educational programs, internships and consulting services.
