Shelby is a Bahamian born Ph.D student at McMaster University in the department of Political Science. His areas of interest are postcolonial theory and postcolonial feminist theory and his current research broadly focuses on understanding how colonialism continues to be recasted through projects of global development. Shelby holds an M.A and B.A. in Political Science from Acadia University and is currently a faculty member at the University of the Bahamas.
